Vertical Plots Algae Activity Report Algal blooms Tributyltin (TBT) Oxygenation Fish health Non-nutrient contaminants program Algae activity report: 30 October 2009   Algae activity was medium to high in the Swan and Canning rivers this week.   Water may appear discoloured between East Perth and Rivervale in the Swan River and in the lower Canning River at Riverton Bridge due to a harmless algal bloom.   The Department of Health advises the public not to eat wild shellfish from the Swan and Canning rivers.
